Welcome to The Green Village!
A sustainable future requires innovative ideas and new useful methods and techniques. In The Green Village they research, experiment, validate and demonstrate their sustainable innovations. They support knowledge and educational institutions, companies, governments and citizens with their sustainable innovations.
They do this within the framework of three themes:
- Sustainable building and renovation
- Future energy system
- Climate-adapted city
The Green Village is an open-air laboratory of TU Delft with a focus on the built environment, where tests can be carried out at district, street and building level. With access to TU Delft's innovation ecosystem, science is literally around the corner. People live, work and learn there. The Green Village addresses technical, business, societal and regulatory/political challenges and helps innovative parties to move faster from theory to practice in order to make an impact. The Green Village is not only a test facility, but also a place for knowledge transfer. Providing an open learning environment that is accessible to all is an important focus of the field lab.
The Co-Creation Center is a collection of different research projects. Together, they form a sustainable and innovative glass building in the Green Village, which has served as an event center since June 2020 and offers space for around 200 guests. The Co-Creation Centre thus forms the heart of The Green Village, where steps are being taken towards a sustainable future through innovation and co-creation. This guide contains the most important information about the Co-Creation Centre and is intended to support you in organizing an event.
